Project overview
The main goal of the German customer was creation of the application that in its first iteration will be available for the users on mobile devices and tablets with iOS operating system.

Business Challenge

The first version was to be released for iOS and the application had to go to the promotion stage of various marketing methods. After attracting a certain audience to use the application, the customer planned to move to the second stage - expanding its target audience by releasing a version for the devices with the Android OS.

Our Solution

Our engineers were involved in consulting and building of an information, communication platform with over 8000 categories in different areas. The application is designed to showcase business, product, startup, event, service, hotel, bar, online store, B2B offer and to find customers or buyers. International information platform gives users the opportunity to present themselves free of charge with their own products, services, shops or as retailers.

Chudovo engineering team has implemented an information and communication platform for goods, services and trade from scratch. The developed Xamarin app consists of different modules and has various functionality:

  1. Registration on the platform is possible either via Facebook or through filling out a common registration form with common fields like Name, Surname, Company, Password, Confirm Password.
  2. After login user proceed to his Profile page, where he can add and configure some additional information about his company / shop (f.e. Add logo, company description, main directions in the activities of the firm)
  3. Company owner has an option to post the products that he wants to sell in his area. User may upload up to 10 photos of the article and add such custom information like new/used product, product description, location. It is also possible to enable and disable product if neccessary.
  4. Search for goods is available in 2 variants. The first one is the products list. In the list view app users may see the products names and images overview; by clicking on the product block users are redirected to the product details, where is also displayed contact information of the seller. Byer may contact the seller usind standard installed messengers like Skype, Viber, What’s App. The list of products also can be filtered by different values (f.e. categories etc.). The second type of search for goods – is search using the map. If user switches to the map view, he can see all the articles that are available in the selected location.
  5. All the goods can be added to the list of Favorites. These are interesting products that the person likes and possibly will purchase in future.
  6. German is the primary language of the application. Ability to localize the app was added as well.

Business Impact

All the development tasks were successfully done according to the deadlines. The application was delievered and was ready to be used by the local retailers and manufacturers. Thanks to the idea of the customer, local sellers were able to expand the ways and methods of selling their products and expand the audience of their buyers.
